Jay Benjamin lures Aussie expats Chris Moreira and Mark Schöller from Crispin to Saatchi’s NYC

SCHOLLER-MOREIRA-web.jpgAussie expat creative directors Chris Moreira and Mark Schöller have been poached from Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Miami to join Saatchi & Saatchi New York in joint ECD roles.

Moreira (above right) and Schöller (above left) worked for Benjamin when the latter was joint ECD at Leo Burnett, Sydney and before that when joint ECD at JWT Sydney. The pair headed to CP+B in August 2013.

Says Benjamin: “I’ve always known Chris and Mark were loaded with talent but over the last several years they’ve grown into inspiring leaders. Their energy is infectious and they have a keen eye for the future of our industry. They will be an invaluable part of rejuvenating or creative culture.”

Along the way, their work has been recognized multiple times at Cannes, D&AD, One Show, Clios and the Effies. Most notably, their flood relief project for Bundaberg Rum, “Road to Recovery”, won three Cannes Lions, a D&AD Nomination and a Gold Pencil at The One Show.

At Leo Burnett Sydney, they did their part in making the agency one of the most consistently and highly awarded in the network. They also led the Smirnoff account and helped the brand regain the No.1 position in the Australian vodka market.

When not racking their brains on the latest brief, the pairalso have a passion for film making. Their latest short film ‘May’ has been accepted into a number of film festivals in Australia and around the world.
