620x349_video carousel.jpgFormer Foster Nunn Loveder chairman and creative director Graham Nunn has launched his seventh animated children’s book app today on iTunes App Stores.

A follow up to the former #1 ranked iPad Book (Australia) ‘Gorilla Band’, the new title from Wasabi Productions has a strong Australian advertising connection.

Apart from Nunn, Wasabi’s marketing director Amy Friedlander is ex M&C Saatchi Sydney and the app’s soundtrack, including two original songs, was created by advertising sound specialists, We Love Jam.

Nunn also drew on his Sydney advertising connections for the 3d modelling and animation (Character Mill in Bondi Junction) and video trailer (ESP Productions in Crows Nest).

Make A Song, which continues to push the needle on digital publishing innovation builds on the success and musical theme of Gorilla Band. The new app showcases an immersive, 3D jungle-world where a cast of young gorillas learn to appreciate the sounds and rhythms of nature at Jungle Music School, which they turn into two catchy songs.

Readers meet a variety of weather patterns, animals and instruments that entertain and delight its 2-5 year old audience. Crafted with touch screens in mind, this story delivers a sensory experience that is deeply engaging, entertaining and educational for early readers.

The Gorilla Band series represents a new breed of interactive book that is built in Unity3D and takes place in a completely three-dimensional environment. It’s an exemplar of where digital publishing for children is heading, into immersive and sensory reading experiences that unfold through interaction and are steeped in age-appropriate educational benefits.

Leading US children’s app reviewer DigitalStorytime  says ‘Make A Song’ is ‘highly recommended’ and rated it 4.75 (out of 5).
