Huckleberry hires Toby Somerville as technical director and Giacomo Groff as strategy director

Toby and Giacomo.jpgHuckleberry, Dentsu Aegis Network’s full-service agency has bolstered its senior team with two key hires, appointing Toby Somerville (left) to the role of technical director, and Giacomo Groff (right) as strategy director.

An expert at performance engineering with a keen eye for usability, Somerville joins Huckleberry having worked with agencies such as Tribal DDB, Citrus, Atomic Media and PWC Stamford Interactive. He has worked on major clients such as ANZ, Coles, Medibank and Oxfam Australia.

Somerville will enhance Huckleberry’s capabilities in the web development and app development space, enabling them to continue to provide innovative and relevant solutions to their clients.

Groff has moved to Huckleberry from Brazil, where he worked most recently with M&C Saatchi as associate director of strategy & technology. He has also previously held strategy roles at Ogilvy & Mather, Ogilvy One and Ambulance, an agency which he co-founded.

Past clients of Groff’s include IBM, Unilever and Pernod Ricard and his background of working in full-service agencies will perfectly complement Huckleberry’s structure.

The appointments come on the back of a number of new client wins for Huckleberry including Kids Under Cover, Funtastic, Two Scoops and Carman’s.
