The latest installment is all about championing the attitude it takes to be yourself, and celebrates those people who captivate us because of it.

Following the huge success of its ‘Shampoo’ campaign in 2013, Southern Comfort has released ‘Young Gun’; the third instalment of it’s ‘Whatever’s Comfortable’ campaign and the second to air in Australia. In this campaign, the barbershop is swapped for the saloon as we see our hero, the bartender, pouring up Southern Comfort with style and swagger to a packed house, all set to rockabilly tunes of ‘Love Me’ by The Phantom.

The campaign, much like the brand, was created to celebrate and inspire the awesome attitude of people who are completely comfortable with themselves.

The campaign is brainchild of Wieden+Kennedy New York, ‘Young Gun’ follows on from ‘Beach‘ in 2012 and ‘Shampoo‘ in 2013. Both campaigns attracted over 2.5 million views respectively.

The ‘Young Gun’ advertising campaign will be rolled out at Val Morgan cinemas on October 9 and will be supported with a digital campaign led by social media agency, Society.

Says Darren West, Southern Comfort marketing manager for Australia: “Australians really seemed to respond to ‘Shampoo’ and we hope to get that same reaction from ‘Young Gun’. The ‘Whatever’s Comfortable’ attitude obviously has strong cross-over down under and what’s been so great about the campaign is how organically Southern Comfort has featured in the storytelling of each entry. The ‘Whatever’s Comfortable’ campaign has a strong international profile now and we hope to raise it even further with Young Gun in Australia.”
