Audra_Morrice.jpgPreviously an online series seen on Foxtel’s Lifestyle Food, series two of ‘Tasty Conversations’ has been picked up in Australia and abroad on free-to-air TV.

Hosted by Audra Morrice – widely recognisable to the two million Australians who regularly tuned in to Masterchef 2012 – this series takes in some stunning locations and promotes local growers across a largely modern Asian menu.

Produced by Carnival Productions’ Benjamin O’Donnell, the interstitial series showcases Morrice’s infectious enthusiasm for food and taps into her rich Chinese and Indian heritage.

Says O’Donnell: “Everybody’s appetite for food and lifestyle entertainment is stronger than ever and we are thrilled to have found a home here on GEM and across Asia through A+E Networks. Audra is an absolute natural in front of the camera and, I can assure you, her food tastes as good as it looks.”

Says Morrice: “It was an absolute treat working with Ben and the guys from Carnival. A wonderful collaboration with an incredibly experienced and trusting producer and crew who were so flexible and gave me the freedom to cook the food I love and to tell my story the way I wanted to. I am thrilled for everyone who worked so hard on this project and that I now get to share more of my cooking in Australia and Asia.”

This marks an exciting new step for Carnival as it diversifies into television, in addition to its well-established commercials and digital platforms. This evolution will continue into 2015 as they co-develop a lifestyle travel show – Carnival’s first foray into long form content.

Tasty Conversations can be seen in Australia Monday to Saturday on GEM, having premiered on November 3rd. It is also currently screening in Asia through A+E Networks.
