Moth Projects signs director Richard Hughes

Hughes is a gifted filmmaker with a decade of creative experience in writing & directing film and television.

His achievements include directing and co-writing the short film MAN which was a finalist at the Sydney Film Festival Dendy Awards in 2014, directing and starring in the YouTube viral hit Crazy Guy Runs Into An Outback Tornado To Take Selfie and creating the award winning TV documentary series #Discovered.

 

#Discovered is a series of uniquely styled documentary pieces for The Seven Network, showcasing insights into the lives of AFL players off the footy field. The 3-4 minute segments were met with immediate success and were quickly commissioned as a permanent fixture in the AFL seasons National TV broadcast. In 2013 an episode of Hughes’ #Discovered won the prestigious Grant Hattam Award For Excellence In Journalism.

Most recently Hughes has been working closely with Triangl Swimwear directing an exciting new campaign in Bali, which will be released later this month. He’s also currently in development on his first feature film, a mystery crime thriller.
