Not just a party, an after party: The MADC After Party set for Nov 27th at Cellar Bar in St Kilda
The MADC is inviting Melbourne’s creative community to a long overdue get together at Cellar bar – Newmarket Hotel, 34 Inkerman St, St Kilda on Thursday November 27 from 8pm – 1pm.
After a two year hiatus, Melbourne’s night of night’s makes a welcome return. No speeches, no dragged-out award ceremony, just the entertaining stuff – in cocktail dress.
In the words of new president Jim Ingram: “We don’t need an awards night to have an After Party so we’re jumping straight to the good bit. I’ll be wearing something velvety.”

Ok, i’ll go first. $175 seems a bit exy?
If it was on aFriday I’d spend the $175 and drink all of the drinks.
But for a Thursday? Nope.

I like how I, like so many others got ‘invited’ to the event through an edm, what an expensive invite.
Don’t be such bloody tight arses people!
Guys do you have any idea how much it actually costs to put on top shelf drinks and first class finger food for 5 hours? Plus entertainment, plus booking fees, plus GST.
MADC is not making money from this.
Go out with friends for a night and guzzle all the pinot or sparkling you want buy canapes all night. Now tell me you’re going to spend less than $175.
