Cubed has won the Henry Hoke Award from the DMA in its 2014 awards listing, the second highest accolade after the Diamond Echo Award.

Each year the DMAs ECHO Awards honour excellence in creativity, marketing strategy and results in data-driven marketing campaigns. More than 1,000 entries are submitted for the Echos by agencies and advertisers worldwide and the awards recognise every type of media used in direct and interactive marketing campaigns. The 2014 awards were announced in San Diego.

Cubed won its award for work on the launch of Federation University Australia in Victoria, a new university created by the merger the University of Ballarat and Monash University’s Gippsland campus. The agency used out of home, television, cinema, press advertising and digital outreach as key components of the launch campaign, achieving an 18% rise in student enrolments after initially targeting a 5% increase. The DMA award is the latest accolade for Cubed which became part of the Publicis Worldwide Australia Group in July. Earlier this year the agency won a 2014 Colloquy Award that recognises innovative industry-leading loyalty strategies. The agency handles both business-to-business and business-to-consumer campaigns.

Says Mike Chuter, Cubed founder and director: “We’re honoured to receive this important award, particularly as it recognises CUBED on the worldwide stage. The quality of the work reflects the strong collaboration we have with our client.”

Says Andrew Baxter, CEO of Publicis Worldwide Australia: “Cubed is already fully integrated into our Australian operations and this huge award reinforces why we wanted to have the Cubed team as part our offering. It’s a great win for them.”
