RSL South Australia launches awareness for annual Poppy Appeal via kwp! Advertising

Screen Shot 2014-11-05 at 3.32.20 pm.jpgA confronting new television commercial from kwp! Advertising is creating awareness for the RSL SA (Returned & Services League of Australia – South Australia Branch) annual Poppy Appeal, in the lead up to Remembrance Day on November 11.

The blood-red poppy flower has long been used as a memorial symbol to remember those who fell in times of war. This symbol was the inspiration for the high-impact commercial.

Says John Baker, managing director, kwp!: “We deliberately set out to disrupt the inertia that exists around Remembrance Day. Australia is in one of it’s longest ever periods of overseas deployment and the vital work of the RSL has never been more relevant.”

Donations accepted during the Poppy Appeal are used to assist current and former members of the Australian Defence Force and their dependents in need.
