BBDO named Network of the Year in The Work 2014: Leo Burnett ranks at #2 from Ogilvy at #3

BBDO_Spikes Network of the Year.jpgThe BBDO network has bounced back from last year’s #3 placing in The Work 2013 to be the top performing network in Campaign Brief’s The Work 2014. They notched up a total of 48 acceptances in The Work 2014 with their biggest performers being Clemenger BBDO Wellington (13 acceptances), Colenso BBDO Auckland (11), Clemenger BBDO Melbourne (7), BBDO Guerrero Philippines (6) and Clemenger BBDO Sydney (5).

Previously, BBDO had been The Work’s top performing network in 2008, 2009, 2010 and equal #1 in 2011. (BBDO key regional executives are pictured above collecting the Spikes Asia Network of the Year title).

Last year’s #1 network, Leo Burnett were placed second this year with 42 acceptances. Their top performing agencies were Leo Burnett Sydney (17), Leo Burnett Thailand (6) and Leo Burnett Melbourne (5).

Ogilvy & Mather came in as the #3 ranked Network this year with a total of 36 acceptances. Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong, Ogilvy & Mather Singapore, and Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai all had 7 acceptances each.

Y&R were the big improvers this year, jumping up from a #7 ranking last year to #4 this year.

11 different Y&R agencies had acceptances in The Work 2014 – the highest number of any network. Leading the way for them was George Patterson Y&R Melbourne (7), George Patterson Y&R Brisbane (4), Y&R New Zealand (4), Y&R Singapore (3), Y&R Beijing (3) and Y&R Philippines (3).

The Work group covers.jpgJWT ranked as the fifth highest placed Network in The Work 2014 with 28 acceptances. JWT Sydney was their top performer with 6 acceptances and JWT Singapore (5), JWT Delhi (4), JWT Jakarta (4) and JWT Taiwan (4) also did well.

TBWA had a total of 25 acceptances to rank as the sixth best performing network. The overall equal #4 placed Whybin TBWA Sydney lead the way with 8 acceptances and TBWA Santiago Mangada Puno Philippines (5) and Creative Juice Bangkok (4) also performed well for the network

In seventh position was DDB – down from #4 last year – with 23 acceptances. DDB Melbourne (7), DDB DM9 JaymeSyfu/Digit Philippines (6) and DDB Mudra Mumbai (4) were their best performing offices.

Grey Worldwide, Cheil Worldwide and McCann Worldgroup filled out the Top 10 networks.

This year just 380 ads and campaigns from 156 agencies were accepted into The Work 2014. The Work annual is the only permanent record of the very best advertising created in our region. The annual gathers the winners and finalists from all the important shows in the region and around the world. Acceptances in The Work are counted in the Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings.
