Cornwell appoints ex-Paper Stone Scissors’ Sam Westaway to the role of client services director

Staff_Sam_W low res.jpgBrand agency Cornwell has secured one of the industry’s leading client service operators, announcing the appointment of Sam Westaway as client services director.

 

Effective immediately, Westaway’s appointment consolidates Cornwell’s leadership team and its ongoing commitment to customer service. Leading a team of 35-strong sales, strategy and creative personnel, Westaway’s primary focus will be to strengthen the client service direction of the agency going into 2015.

Cornwell’s CEO, Sally Dobell said Westaway’s proven expertise and skills added new depth to her existing executive team forming part of a larger plan to hire only best-in- class practitioners, and would continue to position Cornwell as one of Australia’s leading brand design agencies.

 

Says Dobell: “Sam brings a unique skills set to Cornwell garnered from a twenty year career across advertising, media agencies, media companies, brand and design. He exactly fits the profile of client service executive we want to attract to Cornwell, adding specialist skills across both digital and traditional media.

 

“With a proven track record and broad client experience, as well as being known in both the local and international industry as a highly effective operator, Sam is a great addition to Cornwell’s capabilities adding a new dimension to an existing strong team.”

 

Previously with Melbourne-based brand agency Paper Stone Scissors in the role of client director Westaway has developed communications strategies for brands including Just Jeans, Dulux and Peter Alexander and was the lead on winning the highly sought after Uniqlo Australia account.

 

Prior to this, Westaway was strategy director for Southern Cross Austereo, responsible for the leadership and development of the national strategy and agency creative teams located across all Australian capital cities.

 

Westaway said that Cornwell’s unique creative culture is one that which inspires clients and drives successful commercial outcomes and he was looking forward to being part of the agency’s future success.
