NRMA Insurance makes football better with new app via M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment
NRMA Insurance recently launched its Football, NRMADE BETTER campaign for the 2014/15 Hyundai A-League season, making the beautiful game even better for the passionate supporters of the Western Sydney Wanderers.
The campaign via M&C Saatchi, Sydney is part of NRMA Insurance’s ongoing commitment and sponsorship of the Wanderers, a relationship that was formed ahead of the team’s first season playing in the Hyundai A-League and has recently been extended by another three years.
As part of the campaign, M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment has created a free training app designed to help aspiring players develop their football skills, no matter their age or ability. The app houses a wide range of video lessons from current Western Sydney Wanderers players including Jason Trifero and Labinot Halit. A-League assistant coach and NYL coach Trevor Morgan narrates, providing helpful hints and heaps of great challenges to keep users on their toes.
Match days will also be NRMADE BETTER for the loyal Wanderers fan. Each week, supporters can head to the ‘NRMA Insurance Skill Zone’ before the game to learn a new football skill with professional coaches, and sign up for the chance to win upgraded match-day seats to a VIP Dugout located behind the player’s bench.
Says Jamie Gilbert-Smith, managing director, M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment: “The app is part of a larger sponsorship program that demonstrates how the NRMADE BETTER brand platform can deliver engaging work at all levels and touch-points. The Western Sydney Wanderers fans love their football and this app taps into their passion.”
Says John Lewis, head of advertising & sponsorship for NRMA Insurance: “We are delighted to work with the Western Sydney Wanderers and look forward to continuing to help promote and grow football in the Western Sydney Region again this season. This is a fantastic initiative by M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment and provides a great proof point to NRMADE BETTER.”

It’s going to do good to many footballers!
