Sephora tells Sydney to wake up in an activation via Momentum Worldwide for the store’s launch
Leading beauty authority Sephora will open the doors to its first store in Australia – at Pitt St, Westfield Sydney – this Friday 5 December.
The launch activation – comprising digital, experiential, promotional and social elements – has been developed and managed by specialist integrated agency Momentum Worldwide.
In fitting with Sephora’s message of “Enough beauty sleep, Sydney… it’s time to wake up!” a giant alarm clock, over the store’s entrance, will count down to the official launch midday Friday. To capture consumer excitement, Instagram images uploaded and tagged #countdowntobeauty will be displayed on the installation.
Huge crowds are expected to queue on Friday morning to be among the first to visit the flagship store. Already, thousands have lined up to get their hands on exclusive samples in the week leading up to the opening.
Visitors on Friday will be treated to drinks and snacks, and, as the countdown reaches zero, a bill of entertainment including DJ, stilt walkers and a choreographed dance show featuring store staff.

My daughter went to this wednesday after seeing the post on insta. there was noone there from sephora to speak of, they gave some crap eye masks, and generally pissed everyone off including someone who had travelled three hours to get there… just so you know everyone.
