VML Australia, Leo Burnett, CHE Proximity and The Collective score BOS nominations at Mobius

Honda H2O-web.jpgRip-Curl-Search-GPS-watch_1.jpgVML Australia, Leo Burnett Melbourne, CHE Proximity Melbourne and The Collective Design Consultants Sydney have each received Best of Show nominations in the 2014 Mobius Awards international competition. Aussie agencies won 17 other awards in the competition, including eight first places.

Best of Show nominees were: VML Australia, Sydney, for “Rip Curl Search GPS” in Digital-Mobile and “Commbank Re-Launch” in Digital-Online; CHE Proximity, Melbourne for Foxtel “Alert Shirt” in Digital-Mobile; Leo Burnett, Melbourne, for “Honda H2O” in Outdoor for Honda Australia, Melbourne; and The Collective Design Consultants, Sydney, for Saltram Wines “Pepperjack Graded” in Package Design.

In the overall competition, Australian shops won eight First Place Golden Statuettes. Three of them went to VML Australia, for “Commbank Re-Launch” in the User Experience category, and “Rip Curl Search GPS” in Recreation, Tourism, Leisure & Travel, in both the Digital-Online and Digital-Mobile areas.

Alert-Shirt-Hero.jpgLeo Burnett Melbourne won two Mobius Awards Statuettes for “Honda H2O” in Outdoor-Out of Home: Automotive, and for “Slurpee Xpandinator” in Direct: Product/Brand Re-Launch. “Honda H2O” also received Second Place Certificates for Outstanding Creativity in Guerilla/Ambush Marketing and in Direct. “Slurpee” earned a Certificate in Direct, and “#SPCSunday” took a Certificate in Social Media Marketing: Low Budget, Local Station.

Winning a single Mobius First Place Award was CHE Proximity, Melbourne, for “Alert Shirt” in Digital-Mobile: User Experience. This entry also captured Certificates in Branded Content: Unique Use of Media and in Direct: User Experience.

SP-MOZZIE-BOX.jpgGPY&R, Brisbane earned a First Place statuette for “SP Lager Mozzie Box” in Point of Purchase/Ambient, and The Collective, Sydney won a First Place statuette for “Pepperjack Graded” in Package Design: Food, Beverages.

Winning Certificates were The Brand Agency, Perth, for “Break the Barrier” in Commercials/TVC Entries; Showpony Advertising, Adelaide, for “The Scribbler” in Direct, and, J. Walter Thompson, Melbourne for “Twists and Turns-Interactive Video” in Digital-Online.

The overall competition recognized entrants with 47 First Place Mobius Award Golden Statuettes, 36 Second Place Certificates for Outstanding Creativity and four Student Certificates. This 44th annual competition drew participating entries from 18 countries. More info at mobiusawards.com
