Canon-logo3.jpgCanon Australia has announced the appointment of The Zoo Republic to handle the creative development and execution of shopper marketing requirements and consumer experiences for the brand in Australia.

The move follows significant investments in campaigns and retail partnerships to attract consumer attention and drive shopper value locally through authorised Canon retailers.

Commencing work on Canon’s business immediately, The Zoo Republic joins Canon’s rostered agencies Leo Burnett (brand & creative), Mediacom (media and social), and Ogilvy PR (public relations). The appointment follows success in a three-way pitch.

Says Simon Russell, senior manager – product and customer marketing, consumer imaging, Canon Australia: “The Zoo Republic has demonstrated an ability to create retail executions that are smart, creative and focussed on outcomes that will deliver results for Canon and our partners.

“Canon is completely focussed on helping the consumer do more than they ever thought possible with their imaging, and the Zoo will also be a key partner in helping us achieve that through consumer experiences on a grand scale.”

Says David Lo, CEO, The Zoo Republic: “We’re proud and excited to be working with such a bold and market-changing brand. Canon has shown that investing in value and experiences creates opportunities for growth despite challenging market conditions and they’ve challenged us to take their consumer and shopper experiences to new heights.”
