Saul Flores hi res.jpgCreative technology agency DT has announced a raft of promotions and several new senior appointments including a new GM for Sydney, as the agency continues to evolve its creative, experience design, strategy and technology offering in line with the demands of the modern CMO.

Following the recent appointment of international creative Jerker Fagerstrom (executive creative director), DT has added more international experience, appointing Saul Flores as general manager in Sydney, starting this week.

A management consultant who studied at Stanford University with more than 10 years’ experience, Flores has vast experience on digital transformation projects including overseeing an $800M online store.

Says Brian Vella, CEO, DT: “As digital transformation and innovation agendas go beyond the traditional realms of marketing, the appointment of Saul and growth in our existing team sets us up well for 2015.

“Whilst the digital talent war has been well publicised in recent years, we’ve arguably never seen a better pool of talent in the market in our 18 year history.

“We’re seeing a healthy mix of home grown talent that reflects Australia’s progressive adoption of new digital technologies with high performers from other markets. Overseas talent often brings experience undertaking digital transformation initiatives ahead of our own market thanks to economies of scale, greater levels of investment and in some cases a more competitive landscape. Australia and New Zealand has never been more exciting and we’re seeing that first hand through the ambitions of clients such as Tourism Australia, Bunnings, Officeworks, Optus and Fisher & Paykel.”

In other staff changes made as part of its expansion, leaders of several disciplines within DT have been made partner. This includes David Pountney and Kacey D’Odorico to managing partner and Tim Matheson to chief operations officer.

Says Vella: “As partners, their mission is to work intimately together and lead the entire agency with a cross discipline mindset, with the simple goal of collectively creating the best work of their careers.”

17 other promotions have also been made across the business reflecting the talent within the agency.

DT is part of STW, Australasia’s leading marketing content and communications group. With 200 people in offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Singapore, DT is one of the largest and most successful locally grown agencies in the region.
