Finch appoints ex-Exit Films’ Corey Esse to MD/EP role and opens an office in Melbourne

Screen Shot 2015-01-29 at 3.17.34 pm.jpgFinch has hired Corey Esse as managing director / executive producer. Esse will head up Finch’s film production and will be responsible for coordinating the wider Finch team on integrated projects.

Prior to joining Finch, Esse was the MD/EP of Exit Films for 2 years after returning from his role of head of production at Fallon in Minneapolis. Before that he spent 17 years at Mojo where he was the head of production in Australia and New Zealand.

Esse recently oversaw one of the most highly awarded campaigns of 2014, Tourism Victoria’s, Remote Control Tourist and at Finch he will continue to reinforce this commitment to craft in all forms of storytelling. The role will see Esse managing production in both Australia and New Zealand.

To coincide with the signing of Esse, Finch will be opening a Melbourne office to better service the Victorian advertising community.

Rob Galluzzo will continue to oversee the greater company. The hire frees up more of Galluzzo’s time and will allow him to focus on the business as a whole and its divisions of technology, storytelling and entertainment.

Says Galluzzo: “I like Corey. In my opinion he’s the third best Corey behind Feldman and Haim.”

Says Esse: “I am excited about the prospect of working with FINCH and helping grow the brand. The company has a lot to offer.”

Exit Films, EP Emma Lawrence says farewell and thank you to Esse.

Says Lawrence: “We congratulate Corey on his new role and wish him all the best. Corey became a great friend to many of us and he will be missed.”

Finch currently represents 14 directors for Film and TVC production. Finch’s work-for-hire production service offering includes TVC’s, line production, web content and branded content projects, in addition to entertainment properties that are developed in house.
