iSelect says ‘don’t be in the dark’ in new campaign via AJF Partnership, Melbourne
iSelect has launched its latest advertising campaign via AJF Partnership, Melbourne encouraging Australians to not be in the dark about their energy plan.
In the 30 second television launch advertisement, Mr iSelect ‘illuminates’ energy consumers with the flick of a light switch, and explains how to save money. In a separate 15 second advertisement, Mr iSelect alerts Victorians to upcoming energy price increases.
Says Geraldine Davys, marketing director, iSelect: “The retail energy marketplace is highly complex, and consumers find it very confusing to know if they’re on the right plan. With prices continuing to rise, it’s important that Australians have a place they can go to get expert advice, in-turn saving them time and money.”
Says Josh Stephens, executive creative director, AJF Partnership: “With Health Insurance dominating iSelect’s campaign content in the past, it’s exciting to see Mr iSelect not only step into the world of energy, but physically step into the homes of consumers.”
The campaign was directed by Exit’s Ben Saunders and is supported with radio, outdoor and digital executions.

Time for my husband to retire, he’s been doing this long enough and even the kids don’t laugh at his dad jokes.
The orange tie and hanky say it all.
Love the line. Very clever.
Best ad I’ve seen this year.
Yep, seen that line used many, many times. Often coupled with the dark/illuminated technique. I do like the iSelect man, but the executions now feel stale.
