Stephen Cummings’ film ‘Don’t Throw Stones’ looks to Pozible funding for worldwide film festivals through EmptyBrook and Renegade

Cummings-1.jpgWhen Stephen Cummings (left) wrote the book ‘Will It Be Funny Tomorrow Billy?’ he never envisaged director Mike Brooks filming all of the industry people he had slammed in the book, reading from their section and giving their perspective. And reactions!

With the assistance of Renegade Films, Brook’s film premiered at the Melbourne Film Festival and was voted one of the most popular documentaries screened. It is a great insight into the world of Australian music, the workings of an iconic band, The Sports, and an eccentric pop star.

CUMMINGS-2.jpgBrooks’ campaign to find an audience for his idiosyncratic film is hampered by the high cost of music clearances and he has mounted a Pozible campaign (with lots of benefits to donors) to help him clear the music rights for film festivals around the world.

Check out the trailer HERE and become part of this campaign to take the story around the world.
