BMF has appointed Steve McArdle as managing director and Christina Aventi as executive planning director following a decision by CEO Dominic Stinton to return to the UK for personal reasons.

McArdle has been at BMF for over three years and is well known and highly respected by staff and clients alike. Prior to BMF McArdle worked at several of the UK’s top agencies including M&C Saatchi, TBWA and CHI & Partners. At BMF, McArdle has led teams on high profile, award winning campaigns for ALDI, Lion and Meat & Livestock Australia.

Aventi has held senior strategic planning roles at BMF for almost ten years and has returned after a sabbatical to take up the role of executive planning director. Aventi has been recognised at many creative and effectiveness awards whilst working across almost all BMF clients over her time at the agency. Aventi brings a breadth of experience, great energy and insight to the EPD role.

Says Matthew Melhuish, executive chairman, BMF: “I want to thank Dom for his contribution to the business, particularly his passion and deep commitment to the quality of our creative work. He has been a great colleague and we wish Dom all the very best in his next endeavours.

“It is always wonderful be able to promote from within and both Steve and Christina are outstanding choices for their new roles.”

Says Stinton, departing CEO: “I’ve had a terrific time here and I leave more confident in BMF than ever. The team is making absolutely brilliant work for our clients. BMF has a great buzz and energy about it and the current team has my utmost respect. I know they will continue to achieve great results.”
