Australia’s newest and most disruptive online business education provider, BSchool, has launched #TweetScholar; a scholarship program where applications must be written within 140 characters.

The initiative, developed by Melbourne-based creative agency, Taboo, was unveiled at Pause Fest and gives Australians the opportunity to win an $18,000 BSchool scholarship, by tweeting their game- changing business vision using #TweetScholar.

Ryan Trainor, BSchool co-founder and entrepreneur was proud to unveil the scholarship, likening its modern and disruptive approach to the course material itself.

Says Trainor: “Like everything we do at BSchool, our scholarship program is different, disruptive and designed to help students get the tools they need to succeed, faster.

“We started BSchool to arm ambitious business people with practical skills for a quickly evolving business world, so it makes sense that the scholarship process reflects the same digital skills and opportunities.

“Say goodbye to lengthy application forms, interviews and red tape… Welcome to the elevator pitch – 140 characters to sell your idea.”

Submissions will be judged by BSchool’s BFaculty; an entrepreneurial dream-team comprised of eight Australian business leaders. The team includes Ryan Trainor of Republica EDU, David Trewern of DT Digital, Carolyn Creswell of Carman’s Muesli, Simon Crowe of Grill’d, Adrian Giles of HitWise, Emma Isaacs of Business Chicks, Richard Forbes of 333 Group and Peter Williams of Deloitte Digital.

Says James Mackinnon, Taboo: “TweetScholar is the first initiative in the “Be More” campaign. Throughout the campaign we’re going to give old-school traditions a much-needed shake up and show Australians that there is a faster, smarter and more relevant option when it comes to business education.”

BSchool, a 12-month online Diploma of Business (BSB50207), has been created to teach the kind of entrepreneurial thinking and practical business skills that are necessary to launch a business or become more effective in your career. The course offers full VET FEE-HELP, so students can study now and pay later and they are guided by top entrepreneurs across all facets of business including creating a product, funding, digital, marketing and more.

The #TweetScholar program is open for entries between Friday 13 February and Thursday 12 March 2015. All entries can be viewed at bschool.edu.au/tweetscholar.
