Advertising industry heavyweight Ash Hopper (right) has joined Lowe Profero Sydney in the role of executive creative director.

Previously ECD at Sydney based independent digital creative agency Soap, Hopper is highly regarded both nationally and internationally. His talents have been recognised with a string of accolades and over 40 awards, including five Cannes Lions and two Effies.

Prior to Soap, he held the role of national digital creative director at JWT Australia. Here he led the transition to an integrated creative model following the merger with digital agency RMG Connect, where he was creative director – digital & direct.

Hopper began his career leading the highly lauded digital agency Hyro in 2000, establishing its creative credentials with back-to-back Cannes Lions.

Lowe Profero Sydney’s MD Dave Bentley (above, left) said Hopper’s appointment was a significant moment for the agency.

Says Bentley: “Ash is a world class talent and I’m ecstatic that he’s joining our team. Not only is he an exceptional creative leader, he is also a very strong strategic thinker.

“These qualities make him particularly potent in developing world-class creative solutions regardless of whether it’s an advertising campaign or a platform build. Like Lowe Profero, he’s passionate about the importance of combining media, creative and technology to create holistic and unique solutions that more effectively solve client communication and business challenges.

“With Ash’s creative pedigree combined with our depth and experience in our technology and media offering, I couldn’t be more excited about our ability to create ground breaking and effective solutions for our clients.”

Hopper commented that aside from being a highly respected global digital network, what set Lowe Profero apart was a broad digital capability from campaign and user experience design to media strategy and  planning.

Says Hopper: “Lowe Profero’s incredible success, and its collaborative consultancy approach with clients is reflected through its strength and growth across Australia and Asia.

“Dave Bentley and Lowe Profero founder Wayne Arnold are passionate leaders and it was clear we shared a common vision. I look forward to working with the teams in Sydney and across Asia Pacific to develop the agency’s capabilities and credentials.”

Hopper’s appointment follows a significant year for Lowe Profero in Australia and across the APAC region, including winning Guzman & Gomez and QIC as well as launching the highly regarded Johnsons Nightlight and the merino.com global publishing platform.
