Lifelounge_FreshMeat_Booklet-1.jpgLifelounge, Melbourne rolls out its new internship programme, ‘Fresh Meat’, this week, offering young talent the chance to beef up their skills in the creative industry.

The program is designed to introduce grads and entry-level creatives to life in an agency environment, while grooming them to greatness across a number of disciplines – art direction, design, copywriting, digital, social media and account management.

Says Agency CEO, Dion Appel: “It’s win-win for both the interns and the agency. We get to spend time cultivating up-and-coming young talent, and we benefit from their refreshing energy, enthusiasm and ideas. We’re a youth-segment specialist agency, so it’s important to us to maintain a team that’s representative of our target market.”

Fresh Meat is a paid internship, aiming to offer valuable mentorship in exchange for innovative thinking that should inspire and excite the existing team.

The internships will run three days a week for a month, and for stand-out talent, there’s the possibility of an extended stay in the Lifelounge paddock.

“Applicants will need to wow us – they’ll be carefully selected based on how they demonstrate their talent and drive. The chosen ones will stand out from the herd,” says creative director, Brad Wilson.

The advertising and creative industries are notoriously hard to break into, and Fresh Meat is Lifelounge’s way of supporting and encouraging the next generation of skilled creatives by giving them a leg-up.

All applications should be sent to freshmeat@lifelounge.com

Applications close February 28, 2015. More info here
