OMD promotes Thomas Hutley to head of OMD Word; Jeremy Clark to head of Fuse

Tom_Jez-web.jpgOMD has promoted Thomas Hutley to head of OMD Word, OMD’s social media division and Jeremy Clark to head of Fuse, OMD’s branded content and sponsorship division.

Hutley and Clark, previous co-director’s of OMD Word, were responsible for notable multi-award winning social campaigns such as V Energy Take Me to Future Music (x3 APMA awards 2014), and TAB Twitter Cup (Global Festival of Media and APMA Awards 2014).

Over the past two years they have grown OMD Word to a team of 11 specialists developing social strategy, community management and social campaign management across clients that include McDonald’s Australia, Tourism Australia, PlayStation, Cisco, Clinique, Bose and Telstra.

Says Mark Jarrett, managing director OMD Sydney: “Tom and Jez have successfully driven OMD Word for the past two years growing our social offering and consistently producing globally recognised and awarded work for our clients. At OMD we put a consistent focus on developing and rewarding our talent internally, so we’re delighted to be able to put our faith in Tom and Jez as they progress to the next level of their career.”

This news comes following the announcement that Helen Walker, previous head of OMD Word and Fuse will be returning to the UK. Says Jarrett: “Helen has been an amazing asset to OMD, we will miss her unparallelled commitment and passion, and wish her the very best of luck on her return to the UK.”

Hutley and Clark will report into Jarrett, and their new appointments are effective immediately.
