After a successful two years, Truce Films has made the move to secure Jim Wright’s (far left) services long-term by making the producer a partner in the business.

It’s a no-brainer for Truce with Wright becoming an integral part of the business and establishing key relationships with agencies such as M&C Saatchi, Girl Creative, Havas Worldwide, BWM and Sputnik.

Says Wright: “There is an incredible amount of talent assembled at Truce, and with a solid stable of ongoing clients, we are well placed to take the company to the next level this year.”

In a busy 12-months, Wright produced Goodnight Sweetheart, a short film funded under Screen Australia’s Hot Shots program. Directed by Bec Peniston-Bird, the project will soon be able to announce some key festival invitations and selections.

Says Wright: “We’re extremely excited about what this year will bring and have a strong slate of projects on the go. We want to make 2015 the year of Truce.”

Founding partner Michael Ciccone says he feels the timing was right.

Says Ciccone: “It’s something that has been on the cards for a while, but we wanted to start the new year by making it official. Jim has been a quality contributor to our business. We have set ourselves some lofty expectations of what we hope to achieve this year and Jim will play a big part in us getting there.”
