Woodstock Bourbon made the official sponsor for V8 Supercars Championship brokered by C&P
Woodstock Bourbon has today announced its largest ever sporting sponsorship becoming the Official Spirit supplier of the V8 Supercars Championship, a deal brokered by Cummins&Partners.
Woodstock brand manager Kelly Jones said V8 Supercars has a rich and proud heritage in motorsport.
Says Kelly: “We’re excited to be joining the V8 Supercars success story, and are looking forward to this exciting new period. We believe this partnership will allow us to connect with our consumers, by aligning ourselves with likeminded passions. That, and it’s a bit of fun.”
The partnership includes exclusive pourage and activation rights at all V8 Supercars events and TV broadcast integration and digital exposure through online platforms.
Says James Warburton, CEO, V8 Supercars: “It’s fantastic to have such a powerful brand join our increasingly growing sport as the Official Spirit of the V8 Supercars Championship.
“V8 Supercars is already the 4th most attended sport within Australia, with its average crowds now eclipsing both AFL and NRL. This season we will see a 300 per cent increase in television coverage with around 1200 hours of coverage across both Fox Sports and the Ten network, ensuring more viewers than any season prior.”
The 3-year partnership, brokered by Cummins&Partners, is a coup for Woodstock pushing out spirit sponsors Jim Beam who held the sponsorship for over 10 years. The media opportunity puts Woodstock in the cultural heartland of Australia’s motoring enthusiasts.
The 2015 V8 Supercars Championship kicks off on the streets of Adelaide at the Clipsal 500, Feb 26-Mar 1 2015.

Perfect combo – drink and drive
Coup? I smell a fire-sale.
And the V8s become even more bogan than they already are.
Cheap bourbon cheap cars
Couldn’t secure big beer brand sponsor
Couldn’t secure big spirit brand sponsor
Cider or wine maybe?
V8 kicking goals
Dropped it, trying to become a more premium brand.. Makes sense for Woodstock to pick it up.. Right audience for the right product. Just need to make it work harder than Jim Beam ever did..
Good to see they’ve given on the rebrand and accepted who they are.
Not adding to negative comments below…legitimately curious…Why are you guys allowed to advertise your sponsorship? I thought alcohol and cigarette sponsorship ads were banned from sporting events
