30Below QLD to host content marketing event on Wed, March 25th at The Stock Exchange Hotel

admaqld.jpgADMA 30Below Queensland has announced today that it will kick off its 2015 events calendar with an event about all things content marketing, featuring five of the state’s leading experts in the subject.

The event, Content is King: Protect Yours takes place Wednesday, 25 March at the Stock Exchange Hotel, 131 Edward Street, Brisbane from 5.45pm-8.00pm.

Tickets to the event cost $35 and include drinks, nibbles and networking games before the formal panel discussion.

Says Tamara Browning, state lead, 30Below QLD: “Content marketing is becoming a huge focus in today’s marketing world and it’s not an easy thing to navigate. The bar is getting higher when it comes to content quality, distribution and engagement. Our event will address how marketers can stay on top of the game here and create and integrate quality content at the same time.”

In a panel discussion, five industry experts will discuss how best to use content by defining the purpose and understanding one’s audience. They’ll also discuss 2015 predictions, the importance of relevant content, and how to do it well.

The guest panellists are:

Brian Crisp, Editor-in-Chief, Flight Centre. Crisp comes from a strong traditional publishing background, most recently as former travel editor of News Corp’s incredibly successful Escape lift out in its Sunday metro mastheads. Crisp has made the transition into brand publishing and is now editor-in-chief for the world’s largest travel agency, Flight Centre. Heading up Flight Centre’s content team, Crisp is charged with engaging audiences across traditional mediums and social channels, including Flight Centre’s 500,000+ Facebook followers.

Sally Bagshaw, content strategist/founder, Snappy Sentences. Bagshaw is a Brisbane-based content strategist who’s been wrangling content since 2001. She has a background in copywriting/business communication and has helped corporates, publishers, government and several universities to plan for, create and manage useful and usable content.

Brian Hastings, digital director/partner, Nous. Hastings is a leader when it comes to strategy, cross-channel campaign management, email marketing, social media management and development, e-commerce and lead generation.

Simon Dell, founder/managing director, TwoCents. Dell has been running TwoCents Group, a marketing company since 2009. The firm specialises in branding, creative, marketing strategy, PR, advertising, digital and social media amongst other activities.

Jason Roulston, co-founder, Just Digital People. Roulston co-founded two digital and ICT recruitment businesses, Just Digital People and Just People. He also works at Just Media Design, a new breed of marketing agency where they consult, design and implement unique social media strategies.
