This announcement comes a week after the news of Mat Maroni joining as planning director.

Lansdell has over two decades of experience in advertising, joining Clemenger BBDO Sydney in 2012 to head up strategic planning for all brands within the agency’s Mars Portfolio, including MasterFoods, Whiskas, Kan Tong, Skittles, Dolmio and Dine.

Says Al Crawford, executive planning director of Clemenger BBDO Sydney: “It’s always brilliant when you can recruit from within. Having worked with Kit for the last 3 years, I know just how good he is as a planner, but also how influential he is as a leader within the agency.   Giving him the job is not just the right decision, but a really easy one as well.”

Lansdell cut his teeth in advertising in the UK working with global brands adidas, BBC, Procter & Gamble, Mars Confectionery and the United Nations.

After moving to Sydney in 2001, he led teams at Lowe Hunt developing award-winning campaigns including for Hyundai A-League, diet Coke, Stella Artois, Electrolux and HSBC.  Before joining Clemenger, Lansdell also spent a couple of years running his own strategic consultancy business.

Says Lansdell: “I am thrilled and honoured to be leading such a great team.  Commercial creativity is increasingly vital to business success and together with Al I look forward to ensuring the work we’re creating for our clients works brilliantly.”
