WHISKAS CATSTACAM - the device.jpgMars Petcare has introduced Whiskas ‘Catstacam’, a social way to help people better understand their cats through a unique concept that enables cats to seamlessly take and upload their own photos to Instagram.

Conceived by agency Clemenger BBDO Sydney, Whiskas Catstacam features a series of Instagram-enabled cat cameras produced exclusively for cat-loving celebrities and famous cats. The devices, weighing in at 44g, can shoot up to six photos per minute, using motion-detector technology to capture real-life moments from the cat’s point of view.

WHISKAS CATSTACAM - packaging.jpgPhotos are then uploaded to the cats’ very own Instagram profiles, with behaviour analysed and decoded by a WHISKAS cat behaviour expert through #AskWhiskas.

Says Paul Nagy, executive creative director, Clemenger BBDO Sydney: “We all know the internet’s obsessed with cats. We wanted to take this a step further by not only giving cats their own Instagram accounts, but the ability to take and upload their own photos, in real time. The result is absolutely mesmerising and gives us new insight into the world of cats.”
