adma.jpgThe Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA) announced today that Emma Gray (top, left), chief loyalty & data officer for Woolworths Ltd, has been appointed to the ADMA board of directors.

Gray picks up the mantle from Emily Amos, general manager-Woolworths Marketplace, who has spent four years on the ADMA board.

Says Jodie Sangster, CEO, ADMA: “We’re delighted to have Emma join the ADMA Board. She is engaging, practical and results-oriented with proven success in the fields of strategy execution, transformation and leadership.  Emma has a wealth of international industry expertise in FMCG, retail, logistics and manufacturing which will be an asset to ADMA as we reach out to new sectors that have not traditionally been ADMA members.”

Prior to her appointment with Woolworths, Emma was a partner with Bain & Company, a leading management consulting firm, working in their offices in London, San Francisco and Sydney for 15 years. Most recently she headed up their Australian retail and consumer goods practice.

Says Gray: “I am delighted to join the ADMA Board and help advance the responsible use of customer data to step change our ability to satisfy the needs of our customers.”

In further developments, Jodie Sangster announced two further appointments to the board: that Publicis CUBED managing director Mike Chuter (right) will now chair the ADMA State Branch Board Advisory Committee and Liz Miller (bottom, left) , senior account executive-digital marketing at Adobe, will serve as chair of the New South Wales Branch.

Members of the State Branch Board Advisory Committee define the trends and determine the needs of the marketing, media and advertising industry in relation to data-driven business practice. They also provide the Board with new ideas and advice for the future direction of ADMA, and oversee ADMA events in five states: New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and West Australia.

Says Sangster: “We’re delighted to have Mike as Chair of the ADMA State Branch Board Advisory Committee and to have Liz heading up the NSW Branch. Both have incredible energy and creativity. Mike will be helpful on the creativity front which is one of ADMA’s pillars for customer experience and Liz will be key on the content front. They will help us to provide even more value for our regional members through events, education and thought leadership.”

Chuter was a founding partner of CUBED Communications, now called Publicis CUBED. During his 20+ years in brand advertising, he’s been awarded ADMA’s Marketer of the Year, headed up the direct & digital Marketing division at M&C Saatchi (when they won Agency of the Year), and was also the youngest board member at Ogilvy London. He also serves on the Board at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and is co-founder of the global social movement, Thankful.

Liz Miller has 15 years of digital, marketing and media experience. She has taken a vast number of cloud computing platforms to market and has driven value and positive outcomes for clients using technology, professional services and creative thinking. In addition to developing new business for emerging technologies, she has set up sales teams, managed B2B marketing programs, and developed systems and governance including multiple CRM deployments.

Says Miller: “When we formed two years ago, we agreed the purpose of the Committee was to bring accessible and enjoyable networking events to the data-driven marketing industry. We’ll continue to build on our success from previous years in 2015. We actively welcome ideas and suggestions from our peers.”

Chuter and Miller will work with Neil Jorgensen, national marketing manager, Signet (Qld); Sam Jefferies, general manager, The Distillery (SA); and Tristan Berentzen, marketing manager-industrial, commercial & government sectors at Synergy (WA), on the ADMA Branch Board Advisory Committee.
