Nando’s Australia promotes its Tear & Share Platter in new television campaign via Banjo
Nando’s Australia has launched two new TV ads via Banjo, to introduce its Tear & Share platter to Australia.
The ad campaign kicked off on Monday 9 March as part of Nando’s sponsorship deal with My Kitchen Rules on the Seven Network. The ads are an extension of the successful campaign Nando’s has been running over the last few years.
Featuring a young couple dining in a Nando’s restaurant, the ads highlight the platter’s food components while also showcasing the Nando’s restaurant dining experience. Designed to be shared, the Tear & Share platter features Nando’s signature flame grilled Peri-Peri chicken, toasted pitas, fresh cucumber and red capsicum and a hummus dip with Peri-Peri Drizzle. Tear & Share also includes a tasty new African grain salad on the side, finished with a squeeze of zesty lemon dressing. Available in half chicken and full chicken portions, the latest addition is guaranteed to tantalise the taste-buds.
Marketing director, Helen Reece, said the new Tear & Share platter ads are a great example of how food brings us together no matter how different our interests.
Says Reece: “The ads are a humorous look at life and how we interact with each other. Our restaurants are full of interesting everyday conversations where great food is often the common ground. We decided to play with this theme and the outcome is two great examples of Nando’s sparking connections.”

Quite shit
Wayyy too much for the audience to catch what’s going on. It took my full attention to get through it…
Good luck to the audience of My kitchen Rules…
If I was that couple I would tear out of the place shouting for flavour and atmosphere and looking for a restaurant that actually does serve wine and beer ( only some of theirs do despite the impression given), not to mention decent advertising,
Harsh commentary as usual. This is way above most of the drot on Australian TV. Good idea, well executed.
I fink it’s quite a nice spot. Good idea well executed.
Hi I watched both. I have no idea what was going on.
This is what happens when one deals with mediocre people.
What just happened?
I quite liked them too
The usual CB shitslingers out in force though!
Sorry, are we meant to want to buy chook or what?
You go to Nando’s because you dont want chook drenched in grease..
About time they starting sell that.
I admire the ambition but the outcome is terribly confusing. Shame.
Confusing crap really, with a whole bunch of tenuous links.
Tango did it better.
What’s the name of the guy in the ad?
