AEG Powertools plays it safe in its new digital and radio campaign via Fenton Stephens
AEG Powertools have the longest trade warranty in Australia, and together with creative agency Fenton Stephens, have launched an amusing digital and radio campaign aimed at reassuring tradies across the country that there ‘ain’t no shame in playing it safe’.
For the radio, the agency put together a series of tongue-in-cheek spots, entertainingly executed by comedian Dave Lawson.
The digital campaign then shows how far ‘playing it safe’ could possibly extend on the Australian worksite, visually brought to life by the folk down at Hell Studios.
The toes of tradies are forever at risk of bearing the brunt of a dropped object, but what if your workboots resembled those of Richard the Lionheart?
All in all, it’s a very light-hearted campaign that takes something as straightforward as a warranty and has a whole heap of fun with it.

Nice one fellas.
Ha! Love the radio. Well done.
shit
Missing something.
I think it’s the funny part of the humour.
And the “campaign” is the same lame gag over and over.
But hey, maybe they’re really good and I’m just a grumpy bugger.
