To show young travellers just how much they can do in New Zealand in one day, Whybin\TBWA Sydney and Tourism NZ partnered with STA Travel and created a unique product that could only be experienced in New Zealand. The 5X1NZ adventure pass allows travellers to do 5 adventure sports in just one day. To launch it Whybin TBWA\ Sydney got a Red Bull athlete to complete the 5 adventure sports in just a single hour and in one continuous move.

As official sponsors to Sydney’s Mardi Gras, Airbnb wanted to make the gay community feel welcome and let them know there is no better place to stay than in an airbnb accommodation. So to make them feel at home, Whybin\TBWA created a very special listing, giving them the ultimate view of the parade. The agency built a custom home for one lucky to stay in that then became a float in the parade. Letting one couple not just see the parade, but be the parade.

Almost every tourist with a phone takes selfies. But selfies don’t show off the scale of New Zealand’s beauty. And we can’t force people to share their photos either. To connect with young, mobile-savvy Australians Tourism New Zealand and Whybin\TBWA Sydney needed to tap into their existing mobile habits and innovate. NZdronie is a selfie, shot with a drone, which captures the landscape and promotes New Zealand instantaneously. Using innovative drone-based tech, NZdronie videos could be shared on social networks immediately via their mobile, turning travellers into our media broadcasters.
