4.jpgAfter a decade in post production, with the last four years as a partner/senior editor at The Pixel Kitchen, Marty Gilchrist has decided to go freelance under the name Puffin Post.

Says Gilchrist: “It’s been an incredibly fun journey thus far and now that my two boys (9,6) are getting older I felt that going freelance would allow me to spend more quality time with them and also open me up to working with new people and projects.”

Specialising in offline/online editing and VFX, being freelance brings him the flexibility to operate remotely, in an edit suite, on set or bring the Puffin suite to the clients space.

Says Gilchrist: “The industry and it’s technology has changed so much over the last few years and I’m really excited to see how it settles into this more freelance orientated world.”

Gilchrist has just finished the short for the St Kilda Film Festival.

3.jpgOn his aims for the future Gilchrist says his passion is collaborating with creative people: “It’s what post is all about for me. I want people to walk away with a great product and also have the most fun creating it.”
