michae and lizzy.jpegCB Exclusive – Michael Cook and Lizzy Nash have announced that they are winding up the advertising side of The Feds.

Says Cook: “During the 8 and half years we’ve been operating we’ve watched the model of advertising and content consumption change immensely and traditional advertising become ever more fragmented.  It’s an exciting time to be in the business but also a challenging one which requires a new perspective and way of doing business.”

As part of the restructure The Feds will be wrapping up the advertising side of the business and refocusing the broadcast and content division under the leadership of broadcast EP Julia Peters.  Cook will play a continuing role in the development of the broadcast projects with Peters and looking for new opportunities. Nash will also continue to run her international facilitation company, Walkabout Films.

Says Cook: “It’s been a great ride and we’ve absolutely loved working in advertising for the last 8 and half years. But we feel with the increasing change in the advertising market and the growing trend towards longer form content and branded entertainment it’s time for us to reconsider the future focus of the business and our future opportunities.”

Says Nash: “We want to say thank you to all our staff, our directors and producers both past and present who have worked tirelessly to help us produce great work and inspire us every day.  It is a new chapter for us all.  We also want to say thank you to all the fantastic crew that we have worked with over the years and of course the support and long held relationships we’ve had with Australian agencies.”
