ABC_Insitu_03.jpgAvailable now, ABC and digital agency Cypha have come together to launch the new ‘Best of Splash’ apps on the App Store.

Aimed at primary and secondary school level children, it brings together a rich educational experience with an intuitive interface where children can learn and play at the same time.

With 10 topics per app, and more to come, this app is a diverse collection of immersive educational material, tailored for children of the digital age. Captivating videos engage children, leading them to the interactive quizzes. With the introduction of highly visual topic badges, children are provided with the incentive to complete topics, share their achievements, and be hungry for more and more interactive learning.

Says Annabel Astbury, head of ABC digital education: “Teachers and parents from around Australia have told us how much they value the high-quality resources on Splash. Our mission is to allow students and teachers to explore, play and learn with engaging interactive resources, and our new apps make these resources even more accessible.”

These apps offer parents a free educational resource to interact with their kids and inspires creativity, learning, knowledge and collaboration. Educators can also use these apps as a tool to deliver their curriculum in a more effective and visual way.

Says Alex Christian, creative partner at Cypha: “It was important that we created an application that not only, delivered a rich educational experience, but also made learning enjoyable. This was achieved by pairing a highly intuitive interface with a deep understanding of the ‘interaction behaviors’ of children.”

The ABC ‘Best of Splash’ apps are currently only available for the iPad, and is free in the App Store. Additional content will be added following the primary and secondary school terms.
