Alan Matthews to retire from Dentsu Aegis Network Perth and will be replaced by Adam Marshall who returns to Perth from Singapore

Adam Marshall_omd.jpgCampaign Brief hears today that former OMD Western Australia managing director Adam Marshall is to return to Perth to take over Alan Matthews’ managing director role as head of Dentsu Aegis Network in Perth.

The network comprises Carat, Visium, Haystac and Mitchell & Partners.

It’s believed that Alan Matthews will be retiring from Dentsu Aegis Network at the end of June with Marshall (pictured left), returning from Singapore to take over in July.

Luring Marshall back to Perth is a major coup for Dentsu Aegis Network, who have been looking for suitable long term replacement for Matthews, since he signaled his intention to step down over 18 months ago.

AlanMatthews.jpgAfter four years at the helm of OMD WA, Marshall resigned in August 2013 to head up to Singapore as Head of Trading in Asia Pacific for Mindshare. Marshall arrived in Perth in 2006 and has held positions with Maxus and The Brand Agency before joining OMD in 2009.

Matthews (pictured right) has built a long and great career in Perth media, starting at Channel 9 Perth in 1976, before taking up his first media manager position in 1985.

In 1986 he launched Merchant & Partners in Perth and has, to this day, been Perth’s most influential media buying professional.
