image001.jpgThe Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) is on a two-week countdown to the deadline for its annual awards competition which this year will cover 14 categories. The deadline is Friday, May 29, 2015.

After a strong number of entries were considered for the 2014 AMI Awards, the AMI is again expecting high levels of support for the 2015 awards, with entries closing on May 29 and winners to be announced in Melbourne on October 22.

AMI CEO Lee Tonitto said the accelerating evolution of the marketing industry meant that in this year’s awards there would be many entries telling stories of highly creative and effective marketing initiatives that have driven product and corporate reputations.

Says Tonitto: “Our belief is that marketing should be future focussed. It unlocks the potential in ideas, markets and businesses, expresses these possibilities and realises their value – for customers and an organisation. The AMI Awards are a great forum to reveal the creativity of our industry and are acknowledged as the highest accolades our industry offers.”

Special awards will be presented this year including the Sir Charles McGrath Award for significant contribution to the field of marketing, Certified Practising Marketer of the Year and the Trinity P3 Future Leader Award to a future marketing leader who has demonstrated significant leadership and marketing skills.

The National Awards for Marketing Excellence Gala Dinner will be held on 22 October at the Grand Hyatt, Melbourne, followed by local awards presentations around the country in November and December.
