DP_EXPO_01.jpgSince the first Great Fair of 1851 in London, World Expo has continued to be one of the largest and most enduring global mega-events. It is expected over 20 million people will experience Digital Pulse at Milan Expo 2015 over the course of the next six months.

In a truly international alliance, Digital Pulse has collaborated with Action Impact, a brand experience agency based in Dubai, to produce content for the UAE pavilion at the 2015 Milan Expo. The pavilion demonstrates the UAE’s visionary plans for hosting the 2020 World Expo.

DP_EXPO_02.jpgInspired by the spirit and passion of the great exhibitions of the past, Digital Pulse created an immersive digital world to tell the story of Dubai’s development and progress.

The 6 minute visual experience was projected on a massive 180º scrim surrounding a hydraulically operated circular segmented floor which required DP_EXPO_03.jpgreal-time projection mapping technology. To finally wow the audience, the finale of the film featured our content on concealed LED technology behind the scrim to create a truly three-dimensional aspect to the experience. A 32 track sound-scape was also designed and delivered by Digital Pulse for onsite mixing.

Says Brett Heil, managing director of Digital Pulse: “This was an exciting project to deliver. We created content for a number of different surfaces in sync on the scrim, projection mapping for the floor and the 3D LED array to create powerful moments to immerse the audience and convey the theme of Connecting Minds, Creating Futures.”

Digital Pulse utilizes its world-class design, animation and development teams to create content for augmented reality, virtual reality, 360º videos and projection mapping platforms. Working with and supporting some of the world’s brightest and most forward-thinking minds including universities, research labs and cross media artists, Digital Pulse constantly challenges the boundaries of technology and design to create commercially-viable solutions and market-ready innovations.
