Miami Ad School Sydney set to run Social Media Boot Camp from October 5th – December 11th

Pieter Paul von Weiler.jpgMiami Ad School has today announced it will bring its Social Media Boot Camp to Australia. Following a successful launch in New York and Miami, the Social Media Boot Camp will be held in Sydney from 5 October to 11 December 2015.

The curriculum for the Social Media boot camp was developed by social media experts to train the next generation of talent. Each week a different instructor from a top agency, channel & publisher will take students through a topic essential to the discipline. Companies participating in the Sydney Social Media Boot Camp include Colloquial, Cummins & Partners, DT, Google, JWT, M&C Saatchi, Saatchi & Saatchi, Zenith.

The social media boot camp is a condensed program with classes during evenings and weekends. Senior ‘Industry Heroes’ lecture on Friday evenings and conduct weekend workshops on both Saturday and Sunday. Students will learn the different aspects of social media from content strategies, paid media and texting campaigns, to understanding data and analytics and apply their knowledge to a real client brief. They will also train to think and concept like creative in a series of workshops on brainstorming techniques, video editing, portfolio building, writing case studies and presentation skills.

In week 11 of the Boot Camp participants will visit a variety of ad agencies, brands and media firms to experience the different types of social media work environments.

Social media students take 5 lecture/critique/demonstration classes in each of the ten weeks. Each class is 3 hours long. The school is offering 20 places. Tuition costs are $5,500 incl. GST.
