Port Stephens Council launches new animated TVC via The Magnificent Itch and Channelzero
Award winning animation company The Magnificent Itch has just finished a TVC for Port Stephens Council. The ad forms part of a campaign via agency Channelzero.
Says Stephen Crowe, director, Channelzero: “We’ve undertaken a number of projects with Magnificent Itch and the results have always been excellent. Most recently, our client needed to communicate relatively complex and mundane information in a way that would cut through with its target audience. The result was a beautifully made animated TVC that was engaging, effective and delighted the client.”
As the information is imparted via love story it was decided to give the TVC a light filled, painterly look to reflect the romance. The look was also inspired by PSC’s new corporate branding which echo’s the areas natural beauty and sun filled beaches.
Says Stefan Wernik, director, The Magnificent Itch: ”It’s great when you get a script that lets you tell a fun narrative, and I’m a sucker for a love story. I also like to mix up the styles of animation we use and the team did a fantastic job of blending 2D and 3D animation to give it a painterly look.”
The TVC was released as part of the campaign on the 21st June.
