Clinique reappoints OMD as social media partner following its successful ‘Start Better’ campaign

Campaign.jpgOMD has announced that its has been appointed the ongoing social media management for Clinique.

Having previously delivered successful campaign work for the brand including the Start Better campaign which launched at the beginning of this year; this announcement marks the first time globally, that Clinique have locally partnered with a media agency to manage their social.

Says Angela Swayn, business director, OMD: “We have demonstrated to Clinique our ability to create great content in-house through OMD Word, OMD’s Social Media Division. With social being under the same roof as the Clinique’s paid campaign activity, it allows us to better leverage insights across all channels.”

Clinique is putting a global focus on attracting new and younger consumers to its brand. This week marks the start of this shift with the launch of Face Forward, its first millennial targeted campaign.

Says Corinne Duffy, national marketing manager at Clinique: “As we shift our focus to a younger audience, we need to engage with them on the channels that are most relevant to them. As they are always online – this shift to socially specific content made sense to us as a brand”.

The Face Forward campaign kicks off with an event at David Jones this Thursday where consumers can get up close and personal with Australian influencer Margaret Zhang, one of the three global faces of the campaign.

OMD Word, who was recently in the news for securing the Amazon owned online fashion retailer Shopbop; are a team of eight that provides clients with social strategy, planning, design and community management.
