DDB Melbourne drives away with Porsche after competitive pitch including The Ross Partnership
Porsche Cars Australia (PCA) has appointed DDB Melbourne as its new creative agency following a competitive pitch including incumbent The Ross Partnership.
DDB Melbourne will lead a creative and integrated marketing communications strategy to continue to assert Porsche as the leading sports car brand in Australia.
PCA Director of Marketing Toni Andreevski said the insights and bold attitude of the team at DDB Melbourne will be fundamental to driving the Porsche brand.
“We are delighted to be partnering with DDB Melbourne as we look to engage the next generation of Porsche owners and continue to embrace our longstanding loyal customers,” said Andreevski.
“It’s a very exciting time of growth for Porsche and we need a strong, innovative creative partner to help us continue to deliver results. The team at DDB Melbourne led by David Brown and Darren Spiller are an excellent fit with our business and bring a strong understanding of the passion and vision of the Porsche brand.”
DDB Melbourne will work closely with Porsche’s local media agency, PHD Melbourne and will be responsible for all integrated marketing communications from September 01, 2015. Public Relations will continue to be run internally within PCA.

A VW Group deal maybe?
Finally, John Zeigler’s car collection came in handy!!
Very good, JZ.
Always seems a bit sad to me when a small independent shop loses to a big multinational.
It’s a small account to DDB (albeit high profile and prestigious) but I suspect it felt like a lot more to the crew at Ross.
They’ve done some nice work over the years…Not earth shattering, but there are some things in the folio to be genuinely proud of.
I know how hard it can be when all you get to play with is a German PR shot and a headline.
Kudos.
So I guess that means there will be some clichéd Porsche TVCs that just aren’t funny coming out shortly.
