Email-Header-ICC-HowSoccerWorks-AUS 2.jpgIndeed, the world’s largest job site, has announced its sponsorship of the 2015 International Champions Cup (ICC), a world-class football tournament held from July 18-August 5 in Melbourne which includes a campaign via Mullen Lowe.

Indeed’s sponsorship of the ICC celebrates the role of every hire that brings a major event like this to life.

As Indeed makes a strong push into the Australian market, they have invested in some ambitious advertising and marketing over the last 12 months in Australia under the campaign ‘How The World Works’. The How The World Works campaign has included TV commercials, cinema advertising, out of home ads on street furniture, bus and station wraps, PR, digital and social activity and sponsorship of signature events such as Vivid.

And to celebrate the 2015 ICC – How Football Works is the latest in this series.

Key facts about the latest campaign:

  • The sponsorship will include in-stadium advertising of Indeed.com.au on barriers and on screen
  • Indeed is hiring for team liaisons, who will help escort and oversee the needs of the best clubs in the world and gain exclusive access to behind-the-scenes experiences at selected tournament matches. (Note, this closed on Friday and Indeed will be selecting the successful candidate this week)
  • Indeed have activated a social campaign around this too, including promotion of the team liaison job on Twitter and Instagram including #HowFootballWorks

Says Mary Ellen Dugan, VP of Marketing at Indeed: “This International Champions Cup is the perfect fit for Indeed as football is the world’s most popular sport and Indeed is the world’s number one job site. The ICC tournament showcases the best club teams from the world’s greatest leagues and will available to more than 800 million households globally. Indeed will celebrate all the jobs that come together to make football and the ICC work. It will also provide the world’s most passionate fans with the opportunity to work with their favourite teams during the tournament’s most thrilling matches.”

The Australian matches will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground with a live national telecast on the Nine network.
