Deutsch-Burley will lead the McCann Melbourne team that manages L’Oreal, Metro, Bendigo, Vic Gambling, WorkSafe, City of Melbourne and all Government business. Says Adrian Mills, managing director, McCann: “We’ve been patiently trying to find the right replacement for the role Jack left to take up her position in New York. In Anita we have a stand-out talent who brings with her a strong digital, direct and brand building background alongside some significant client-side experience.

“Her enthusiasm and manner make her unmissable and her strategic leadership and intense intellect are unmistakable. Anita is the absolute embodiment of our ‘only the best’ hiring policy and we are genuinely honoured to have her on board.”

In the past 12 months the agency has seen significant growth on the back of new business wins that include AGL Energy, Australian Unity and the University of Melbourne.

Says Anita Deutsch-Burley: “I am thrilled to be working with Adrian and the talented team at McCann. I have been really impressed with the strength of their strategic and creative offering and look forward to creating some exciting work for this wonderful group of clients.”

McCann is currently the top-ranked Australian agency in the WARC Top 100 and recently took home two Cannes Lions for its Infrequent Flyers campaign for Tigerair.
