There are moments when creatives are stuck in a beanbag, unable to crack a brief or find their next big idea. Thanks to an innovative new online space ‘Ideate’, that feeling can finally be celebrated.

Ideate is a network, created by Melbourne creative team Jackson Hitchcock (left) and Sash O’Driscoll (right), designed to celebrate the good work that you do while you should be doing something else, from the stick figure sketches to paperclip statues and everything in between. It is the perfect place for creatives to spend time while waiting for the last minute possible to do productive work.

Thought up by the art director and copywriter team in Melbourne, Ideate will put focus on the messy part of the creative process, by challenging users to come up with quick, creative answers to quirky problems. With a different challenge released every week, it works as a great outlet for creative energy and provides an insight into how creative people from different industries approach the same problem.

When asked to describe their mission in two words, Hitchcock and O’Driscoll said it was about thinking freely and having fun. They want it to be about collaboration and creativity in its purist form.

The website goes live on Monday the 24th August, and in addition to the gallery of submissions, will feature weekly profiles on talented creatives, showcasing their professional work as well as their responses to each task.
