San_Pedro_de_Atacama_Valle_de_la_Luna.jpgTurismo Chile has this month launched its latest campaign promoting the South American country and its five regions as the ultimate destination for Australian travelers.

The campaign sees Turismo Chile partner with LAN Airlines and Australian tour operators Forward Travel, Chimu Adventures, Adventure World, Natural Focus Safaris and Captains Choice and in a bid to encourage Australians to uncover the unique experiences and captivating landscapes of Chile.

1426863693tapati.jpgTurismo Chile long haul markets manager Pablo Javier Retamal says the new campaign highlights the diversity of activities that can be experienced in Chile from trekking in the Tores del Paine National Park to rafting through rivers surrounded by millennial forests.

Says Retamal: “Research shows that Chile sits high on the list as a destination Australians wish to visit soon therefore the campaign focuses on bringing to life the experiences Chile has to offer outside of our gateway of Santiago.”

The campaign aims to grow the average length of stay in the region, and encourage Australians to visit now.

Says Retamal: “This year’s campaign launched earlier than ever before. Through our partnership with LAN and the various cooperative partners, we will be looking to drive Australians to not just think about a South American holiday, but to book and make it happen.”

Says Rose Toohey, director, Forward Travel: “To support the Turismo Chile campaign we have implemented a number of digital, consumer and trade activities including a dedicated sales incentive for agents and a Taste of Chile evening where prospective travelers can speak directly with some of our key stakeholders here in Sydney.”

The agent incentive runs from Monday 2 August to Friday 16 October 2015 and offers the chance for five lucky agents to win an 8 day familiarization to Chile flying LAN.

Forward Travel is one of Turismo Chile’s newest campaign partners in 2016. Established in 2013, the travel company was created to help Forward thinking travelers to travel better, travel further and travel more and offers a wide range of tailored self-drive and group touring itineraries.

A dedicated campaign hub has been created as part of the campaign with expert Chilean insiders providing advice, tips and knowledge of all things nature, food and wine, astronomy, culture and heritage, sports and adventure and health and wellness.

Secured through National Geographic Traveller, the acclaimed Tasmanian instagrammer Matt Glastonbury has also touched down in Chile this week to support the efforts in driving social and video content as part of the campaign to his extensive audience.

Forward Travel will host its ‘Taste of Chile’ evening on Thursday 27th August in Sydney.
