DDB Group NZ creative Rory McKechnie takes senior copywriting gig at Droga5 New York

3.jpgMulti-awarded New Zealand creative Rory McKechnie, who departed DDB Auckland earlier this year after five years, has taken a senior copywriter role at Droga5 New York.

While at DDB McKechnie won over 60 local and international awards, most notably for Steinlager's We Believe campaign, the Hutchwilco Secret Fishing Spots App and SKY TV's Bring Down the King.

During his time at DDB McKechnie was also head of Auckland AWARD school, after winning the Axis emerging talent award earlier in his career.

McKechnie's appointment comes three months after Droga5 New York's hiring of Aussie expat creative directors Lisa Fedyszyn and Jonathan McMahon - who departed Whybin\TBWA, Auckland in February - to associate creative director roles.
