Droga5 New York tops Forbes Hot Agencies list
Part Aussie-owned agency Droga5 New York has topped a list of Hot Agencies compiled by Forbes magazine contributor Avi Dan.
Droga5, headed by Aussie expat David Droga (left), is ahead of other US hot shops Anomaly, Wieden + Kennedy, 72andSunny, Grey, BBDO, R/GA, Deutsch LA, Fallon and CP+B.
Interestingly, Nick Law, the worldwide chief creative officer of R/GA, is another Aussie expat.
On Droga5, Dan says: “Ever since David Droga founded his agency in 2007 it has set the bar on creativity. It looks for non-traditional solutions and goes beyond looking at them only through the lens of TV commercials. Its work for Under Armour with ballet dancer Misty Copeland or Newcastle Brown Ale is as good as it gets. The agency is transitioning now from working mostly on mid-size accounts to major multi-nationals like Reckitt Benckiser, Toyota and JP Morgan Chase.”

Droga also tops the Forbes list for the CEO with most pr people working for him.
And Avi Dan is pitch consultant who handed Droga a sausage account.
It’s the truth so it should be known.
Wrong on both counts. Droga5 NY has three PR people. Three.
And no one “handed” them an account, they won it in a pitch against other agencies, including Crispin. Your “truth” sucks.
@wrong
Yes…dont you think 3 pr people for one guy is a little excessive?
And yes, Avi Dan the author of that article selected Droga…hand, pick, select, give…choose your word…
Over in New York there is a different game at play…the PR game…Droga tops that list too
Have a nice day, you’re wrong wrong
It’s not for one guy. It’s for the whole network.
Yes Avi Dan helped select Droga after a full blown pitch. Involving many clients and many rounds of work. They won the pitch. Your use of “hand” implies lots of behind the scenes maneuvering. Maybe, just maybe, Avi was impressed by the agency and then put them on a list. Or do you not think an agency just wins a pitch?
“A different game to play.” What are your sources? Again, Marianne (a young Aussie) is the head of a three person dept and runs PR for the whole agency, which now tops over 500 people.
You’re one of these people who writes thes conspiratorial emails and acts like he knows so much more than he does, but your real intention is just to slander. People like you make this industry suck. Youre worse than bad clients, or egotistical creatives. People like you hide in the shadows and bitch and snipe and try to take everyone down a peg so you can sleep better.
Even your “have a nice day” reeks of a shitty attitude.
