iSelect appoints Leo Burnett Melbourne as new creative agency following a competitive pitch
iSelect has today announced the appointment of Leo Burnett Melbourne as its new integrated creative agency following a competitive pitch process.
In partnership with iSelect’s in-house marketing team, Leo Burnett will lead a creative and integrated marketing strategy aimed at growing and diversifying iSelect’s position as Australia’s leading multi-channel comparison service.
Says Natalie Ellisdon, interim marketing director, iSelect: “We are delighted to appoint the Leo Burnett team to the iSelect account which will support our strategic agenda of broadening our consumer proposition and enhancing customer loyalty over the medium-to-long term.”
The account encompasses all marketing strategy and delivery including above-the-line, digital and one-to-one advertising.
Says Ellisdon: “Throughout the pitch process, we were increasingly impressed with Leo Burnett’s strategic insights and strong through-the-line capabilities. Most importantly, their team demonstrated a strong fit and alignment with the iSelect team, and I know both groups are greatly looking forward to working together on our exciting brand.
“While our previous above-the-line creative agency, AJF Partnership, did not participate in the competitive pitch process, we sincerely thank them for their sound counsel, insights and hard work over many years that helped drive the iSelect brand to where it is today.
“We also thank our outgoing digital agency, CHE Proximity, for helping to enhance our digital capability. We wish both agencies all the best for the future.”
Leo Burnett’s appointment is effective immediately.

Well done Leos! Killing it!
Well done to the team at AJF… you’ve turned this piece of business around.
So AJF, the creators of the idea that got them where they are, and CHE Proximity, arguably one of the best Digital agencies in town are dropped for…Leo Burnett Melbourne? Someone at ISelect is going to be fired in about 6 months.
Big up to ajf. Earlier work was stronger but kudos on one of the most successful campaigns in recent history.
Hat tip AJF. Well done Leo’s – look forward to the next instalment.
Well done AJF. You created that brand and did it with consistency so lacking in the industry today.
As “I’m with stupid” said – no sure why you would drop this combination of agencies.
CHE ‘one of the best digital agencies in town’?
Pull the other one
As an outsider, it looks like AJF have been hard done by here. They’ve made iSelect into a brand that stands apart from the rest.
this stinks of shit already
So health insurers and tobacco mixed together now at Leo’s ?
Poor Leo’s. This is a terrible hospital handpass for you. It looks like a win but based on iSelect’s revolving door policy of marketing staff, you’ll do well to do anything resembling good or coherent.
And if they’ve had anything to do with that horrible horseshoe glasses ad, this surely can’t end well.

BINGO!
I guess all good things come to end. Like Rhonda!
Loved the iSelect campaign by AJF. I’ll miss this campaign character on our TV, so will the wife and kids. Many comments above echo how good it was. Big shoes to fill Leo’s. Equalling such a strong campaign will be hard to do, but hey you’ve got the keys now, drive on and show us your stuff. Owners of an idea are the ones who always wish to give it up first – such a pity.
